About Sportball Calgary
I started coaching with Sportball in Toronto in 2004 and was given the opportunity to open Sportball Calgary. It has been a great journey and a fun ride. I share a passion working with kids and playing sports, so you can say I found my true calling.

Sportball offers so many things to my child. It teaches them how to be comfortable with different types of sports equipment, how to catch, throw, and kick. It gives them an opportunity to understand teamwork and playing with others. It also teaches discipline – how to return to the “magic line” and wait for instructions. It gives them an opportunity to improve their hand / eye coordination, balance, and general athleticism. We have been back for multiple seasons. Coach Lizzie has been our coach for a few years now and she is absolutely incredible! Her energy is contagious! She has a knack for getting on the same level as the children, really connecting with them, and seeing them for who they are and what they are capable of. Sportball is a great introduction to the world of organized sports without the pressure of performing or competing at a young age!

We love this program and think that it is such a great way to provide kids with physical literacy skills and body awareness. As well as introducing them to many different sports. The “mini games” designed around each specific skill required in the sport are enough to keep the kids excited, engaged and you feel like you are actually getting something from each class. The way the coaches interact with each different age group is kind, patient, excited and age appropriate. We are currently in our second round of classes with our 3 year old and will definitely continue as we are able.
